Abstract: CASE STUDY: EN Traineeship within the workforce We would like to share our experiences of the Ballarat Health Services (BHS) EN traineeship Program (Diploma of Nursing) and how through this program we have been able to expand our EN workforce, fill some vacant EFT gaps in Aged Care, and most importantly, be able to grow our own work ready graduates. The traineeship, though initially aimed at fulfilling EFT deficits in aged care, has progressed to the point that the graduates are flexible, adaptable and able to work in all areas, and are readily sought after in acute, sub-acute and in aged care. The program has established a sense of belonging and loyalty that goes beyond our expectations. Overall our graduates have proven themselves, and continue to prove themselves, to be work ready, adaptable and highly motivated. PPT used is entitled 'A hospital Traineeship for Undergraduate EN's: Expanding the Workforce Capacity and Growing our own Work-Ready Graduates". Gay Corbett, Clinical Practice Development Nurse (CPDN) Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse, Carolyn Driscoll CPDN. Emma-Lee Fell CPDN (EN Trainee Portfolio), Centre for Nursing and Health Education Ballarat Health Services.
