Abstract: In partnership with DoH, Emergency Department and BHS OH&S Department we have put into place measures to decrease patient frustration and try to help them understand why they are waiting put together. This package includes: MOCA training for all staff; ED Signage that guides the patient through the ED process using our ED Consumer Rep; An electronic information board with updated information to tell patients in the waiting room how busy their ED is and how many patients are currently here & being treated with a brochure explaining the process; Videos of patient experiences that happen in the ED giving insight into what’s happening on the other side of those doors, and patient and staff evaluation of what they really think.
