| Abstract: | Australia’s health research landscape is diverse, with differences across federal, state, and regional levels. Regional and rural areas face distinct challenges, including limited healthcare access, workforce shortages, and higher rates of certain conditions. To better understand local research efforts, a project was undertaken to identify: (1) published research by Grampians Health (GH) staff, (2) relevant ANZSRC classifications, and (3) GH’s research strengths and gaps. This presentation will highlight the scope of GH’s contributions and explore the unique challenges of conducting research in regional and rural health services, emphasising the need for targeted, equitable healthcare solutions. |
